I am writing with a complaint about the disrepair of River Creek Blvd. As a longtime resident of Bluff Point, I have noticed this road becoming increasingly dangerous, including potholes, crumbling curbs, and worn paint on the lane lines and crosswalks, especially at the intersection of Sam Houston St. I wrote a letter to Scott Swain in the Public Works department a few months ago. Although I did receive a letter of acknowledgement, the issue has not been addressed. This is a highly travelled road and I am worried about the safety of the people who use this intersection. I hope you make fixing this road a priority. Thank you for attention to this important issue. Sincerely, William Breton

If three coins are tossed, what is the probability of getting at most two heads?

Answers

Answer:5/6

Explanation:

Each Coin has two possible outcomes heads or tails

if there are 3 coins and two outcomes for each coin you multiply 3 and 2 and that is a total of 6 possible outcomes

Since the question is saying it can't have more than 2 heads we subtract what we don't want with the total possible outcomes

Out of the 6 outcomes how many are there where all of the coins land on heads? Only 1

6-1=5

Out of 6 outcomes 5 of them the coins landed on 2 heads or less

5/6

3/8

The probability of getting two heads and one tail on tossing three coins at once is equal to 3/8.
