While they did pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which ended segregation in public places and banned employment discrimination, the whole movement had one fatal flaw: Martin Luther King, Jr. The entirety of the movement was on Martin Luther King, Jr. Martin Luther King gave speeches, organised protests, was at the head of marches. Martin Luther King was not the leader of the Civil Rights Movement, he was the Civil Rights Movement. However, that means that when he died, the rest of the Civil Rights Movement died with him. A single shot and the movement was over.

He even locks his car with a heavy padlock that looks completely out of place, which makes it hilarious.
But then, he finds himself not knowing what to do with the car that he took out of the reserved parking space. So he starts pushing it, trying to get it out of sight, when two soldiers offer to help him, probably thinking that that is his car that has had some kind of malfunction.
